Our VolunTEU program was created to give all team members an opportunity to volunteer and give back to the environment and local communities. This program expands across our Oceania network.

Big Umbrella (Australia)
Our VolunTEUs have supported the Big Umbrella for several years, volunteering their time to help prepare and cook a variety of meals and then later on serve to those that are in need of a 'real meal' in Melbourne's CBD.
Our team members get a chance to aid along with the Big Umbrella crew and connect with our friends on the street.

Bike Build for Variety (Australia)
In celebration of World Bicycle Day 2024, our VolunTEUs in Melbourne participated in the Variety - the Children's Charity Victoria's Bike Build.
We have been participating in this inspiring initiative for two years now, in which our team members build a number of bikes for children in need. This encourages bike education to disadvantaged youth.

Saga Tahiti (French Polynesia)
SAGA Tahiti focuses on educating children about traditional Polynesian sailboat construction, boating and coral gardening to aid reef regeneration. Saga Tahiti creates a trusting platform to learn about waste recycling, addiction risks and domestic violence also.
Our VolunTEUs have helped out with this program over the last couple of years- from fundraising to donating their time to help with the two-week program. In 2024,

Days for Girls (PNG)
Additionally to the support we provide Days for Girls that helps them give access to menstrual care and education for women and girls in PNG, our VolunTEUs had a chance in 2024 to visit two schools and be involved in the program.
During the visits, a total of 481 menstrual kits were gifted to young women attending the sessions. The Days for Girls facilitators also delivered educational talks to school based children, focusing on themes such as inequality for women, women’s health, and respecting women.

Tree Planting for our Rebuilding Koala Habitats Initiative (Australia)
As part of our Rebuilding Koala Habitats with Koala Clancy Foundation, our VolunTEUs participated in a tree planting event in 2024. Planting a portion of the 3400 trees planned to the chosen tree site will build homes for the koalas in Gnarwarre, Victoria, Australia.

Conservation New Zealand Tree Planting (New Zealand)
The NZ Team along with the expertise of Conservation Volunteers New Zealand participated in a tree planting event in 2023, planting 1,180 Native trees at the Papakura stream site, South of Auckland.
The newly planted vegetation will act as a natural filter for the nearby active farm, helping mitigate against erosion while also building on existing habitat. This will increase the health and diversity of the local biodiversity in the area.

Whale's Tale Initiative with Project Jonah (New Zealand)
Along with our support we provide to Project Jonah, a NGO that specialises in protecting marine mammals, our volunTEUs have been able to get hands on through participating in their Marine Mammal Medic course.
The training course covered both theory - with our team learning about dolphins and whales, stranding rescue techniques and safety training along with a practical beach session. For this, our team were relocated to the beach to practice their learnt skills. They were able to perform first aid on life-size, life weight model dolphin and use rescue equipment on a model pilot whale.

Beyond Blue Charity Run (Australia)
Our Melbourne VolunTEUs for the past three years have participated in the 2XU Wellness Run that proudly supports Beyond Blue. The run helps raise funds and awareness surrounding mental health.Over $400,000 was raised in 2024 with all funds going towards Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service.
Our teams efforts helped us secure 7th place among the top fundraising groups for 2024.
Charity Run Initiatives
Round the Bays (New Zealand)
Our New Zealand team for the past three years has participated in the Southern Cross 2025 Round the Bays Run, which is the largest run in New Zealand covering an 8.4 km. In 2025 year, over $300,000 has been raised, with funds going to more than hundred different charities.

Run for Kids (Australia)
In 2025, our Melbourne VolunTEUs participated in the Run for the Kids event for the second consecutive year. Over $5,000 was raised with all proceeds going to towards the Good Friday Appeal at the Royal Children's Hospital. This will help many children struggling with serious health issues.

World Clean Up Day (Oceania)
Each year as part of World Clean Up Day, our VolunTEUs all across Oceania hit the park, beach and city to contribute to improving the local environment and reducing waste.
In 2023, over 3,000 CMA CGM Group employees collected 42 tons of waste across 108 countries.
