Whether it be for social or environmental initiatives, the Volun-TEU program was created to give all team members an opportunity to demonstrate their socially responsible behaviour and highlight our overall positive impact as people, employees and as a business because ultimately - it’s good to be good.
So far, this program allows our team members to do work with the following organisations:
The Big Umbrella
Team members take part in The Big Umbrella’s ‘Real Meal’ program. Solely run by volunteers, The Big Umbrella Foundation strives to eradicate poverty and exploitation on a local and international level. Team members help deliver dinner to those in need, which not only opened an opportunity to provide hot meals, but to create friendships, build trust and give something all of us have – time.
Clean Up Australia Day
A program developed by an Australian yachtsman that is now a global phenomenon. In March each year volunteers take to the streets and shores to clean up rubbish that may have otherwise ended up in our drains and oceans.
Round The Bays (NZ)
Round the Bays is New Zealand’s largest fun run (8.4k) along the coast line which boasts over 29,000 participants each year and growing. In teams, groups are given the opportunity to raise funds for the event charity partners, or alternatively a charity of their choice.
Days For Girls (PNG)
Days for Girls increases access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating social enterprises, mobilizing volunteers, and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigmas and limitations for women and girls.
Youth Off The Streets
Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and/or recovering from abuse. Team members were tasked with cooking for youths residing at the refuge and for the food van, where they distribute food to the homeless people in Kings Cross and Darlinghurst almost every night of the year.
