PNG Service - Increase ANL and Sofrana ANL Lae
Tuesday, 6 February 2018
NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS PNG SERVICE
Further to our announcement of 31st January re changes to stevedoring arrangements in Lae.
ANL has undertaken a detailed review of the regulated stevedoring tariff received from SPICTL and impact on the business.
The increase was imposed on the shipping industry without any consultation or negotiations by SPICTL and these cost increases are very significant.
We are now forced to apply an EMERGENCY DTHC / OTHC charge to recover significant increases in our operational costs forced upon us by the appointment of SPICTL in Lae. This new charge will be effective immediately with the first vessel been Flora Delmas V0118S ETA Lae 7th February and the Sofrana Tourville V216 ETA 14th February.
|IMPORT DTHC||PGK 166PGK 446|
|EXPORT OTHC||PGK 122||PGK 272|
We continue to engage with SPICTL in regard to this significant impost and any reductions we are able to negotiate will be advised accordingly
A full review of our local charges is currently under way and new local charges will be circulated shortly.
These rates will be applied for ANL APR service and Sofrana ANL Westpac service. Whilst these increases are applicable to Lae at present we are expecting similar increases in Port Moresby (Motukea) when SPICTL commences operations in coming months.
