PAD Service - Weekly Service
November 27, 2017
ANL IS UPGRADING OUR EAST COST / OCEANIA PAD SERVICE TO WEEKLY
ANL is pleased to confirm that its PAD service will become weekly, starting January 15th 2018. This revised weekly service will link the East Coast of North America to Australia and New Zealand.
This new weekly service will have the following rotation:
• NEW YORK, SAVANNAH, MIAMI
• BRISBANE, SYDNEY, MELBOURNE
• NELSON, NAPIER, TAURANGA
13 ships with a nominal capacity between 2,200 and 2,500 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) will be deployed on this weekly service. Each will have about 600 Reefers plugs on board, necessary to transport refrigerated goods such as fruits, meat or dairy products.
In addition to the direct call ports mentioned above, the revised service will provide ANL with improved options to/from USA and Canada inland destinations through our comprehensive truck, rail and sea feeder options.
The upgrade to a weekly service is scheduled to begin with the expected departure of the Nordserena from New York, on January 15th, then all subsequent ports as above. The first departure from Oceania based on the above rotation is expected from Brisbane on February 16th. Full long range schedule, which is subject to validation by the relevant authorities, is attached to this advice.
By improving the PAD service to a weekly frequency, ANL continues its development strategy in Oceania and in the Pacific with the completion of the acquisition of SOFRANA Unilines on October 31st, 2017.
