PAX Service - Dili Port Closure and Congestion Delays
26th January 2016
Notice to Clients
DILI PORT CLOSURE AND CONGESTION DELAYS
Dear Valued Customers,
Severe berthing delays persist at DILI due to congestion of uncleared import shipments on the berth and within the Port area.
Furthermore on the 24th of January 16 the Timor Leste Government Council of Ministers have issued a decree that DILI PORT will remain closed until the 27th January PM due to security measures involved for the visit of the Indonesian President.
Hence, M.V. ANL DARWIN TRADER V0116N which arrived DILI anchorage on 21st January is expected to berth on 28th January subject to re-opening of the Port and clearance of sufficient yard space to permit import shipments to be discharged.
ANL continues to monitor the situation closely and take steps in addressing the serious issue of delays with the relevant authorities but unfortunately we cannot get any agreement from the relevant authorities to facilitate faster turnaround of vessels in Dili.
Thank you for your continuous support of ANL.
