Vessel Delay / M P C Amsterdam V1515N
ANL wishes to advise that the disruption to our APX and APR services was due to the industrial action taken by the PNG Maritime Union which had seen a walk out of wharf labour by all stevedores in Lae from 1200/2nd November. We have now been advised that work has resumed today commencing as from 1000 hours.
We currently have Macau Trader (APR vessel) alongside in Lae since late PM 2nd and it has a further 32 hours work to undertake.
MCP Amsterdam is currently sitting at the Lae anchorage since PM /1st November and will not berth until the departure of one of the current berthed vessels in Lae this is expected to be early am/6th once alongside we have 30 hours work.
