Today, the CMA CGM Group publishes its 2020 Sustainable Development Report. In a world that has been greatly disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Group takes the occasion of this report to reassert its conviction that other economic exchanges, more responsible and respectful of people and the planet, are needed. This conviction is what leads our action and our strategy in every domain.
Locally, this has been exemplified by ANL's launch of the Reef Recovery program. In December 2020, ANL partnered with the Reef Restoration Foundation to aid in the coral reef’s regeneration and help alleviate impacts of the multiple coral bleaching events that have occurred over the last few years. Establishing a fast-growing coral nursery just off the coast of Queensland at Fitzroy Island, ANL’s coral nursery has been maintained by a team of experts throughout the year to produce mature coral and be placed back on the Great Barrier Reef. The nursery is on track to produce up to 3,000 coral fragments in its first year.
