The Volun-TEU's Are Back In Virtual Style!
Supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation in their goal to change the future of children’s health, ‘Step Up For Kids’ is a virtual fun run completed by our very own Volun-TEU’s, which aims create a brighter future for Australian children through every step made.
By electing either a 15km, 30km or 50km challenge, 32 team members from ANL and CMA CGM Group Agencies (ANZ) supported the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, to which the business pledged $20 to the foundation for every virtual fun run completed over the course of four weeks.
Mark Parfuss, one of the ‘Step Up for Kids’ pledgers and National Sales Manager - BBK & OOG Cargo said “Having a son with Cerebral Palsy, I have seen the struggle first-hand that some young kids face in the simplest tasks, like walking. The small steps we made contributed to a great cause, and will help to ease the stress on families who may not have time to participate in these initiatives themselves due to the many hours of caring required for these awesome and special kids.”
With a total of 32 participants, 1,432 km’s run and 27 pledges completed from October 12th to November 9th, we are proud to announce that the Volun-TEUs collectively raised $540 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
In 2018/19, over 200 groundbreaking initiatives were funded at the Royal Children’s Hospital with more than $38.2 million raised. CEO of ANL Xavier Eiglier says, “We couldn’t be more proud of our team members contribution and dedication to this cause. As a business and as individuals, we take pride in giving back to the community and in such testing times, we as a team are more motivated than ever to continue to do so under the Volun-TEU banner.”
