Today ANL has unveiled a much-anticipated new brand identity created in partnership with DDB.
‘ANL: The Spirit of Endeavour’ is a strong statement that punctuates the organisation’s standing as the leading brand for Oceania, within the CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics. The brand identity is a nod to both, the business’s heritage in Australia and the broader Oceania market as well as its consistent efforts to evolve shipping and logistics services and in turn support longstanding clients.
Playing a Key Supporting Role in Oceania
ANL’s rich history has been built in partnership with its customers and industry partners.
Working closely with key importers and exporters throughout the region means ANL has worked closely with leaders in industry who also consistently innovate. ANL has always endeavoured to support clients through deploying new or enhancing existing services and has a long history of embracing new technology, particularly for refrigerated cargo.
From piloting containerised CSIT for citrus from South Australia to California in 2007 and creating integrated transport solutions for meat exporters from Australia to Canada to creating a clearance in transit protocol for table grapes out of the USA via New Zealand, ANL has partnered with producers who are leaders in their field as well as regulators and government departments to ensure environmental sustainability. Maintaining in depth knowledge of the region, bio-security and government regulations ensures ANL can leverage a network of services to move cargo the most efficient way for all clients – this is what the spirit of endeavour is all about!
A Great Australian Story
With origins in Australia dating back to 1956, ANL operated freighters, colliers and bulk carriers for mineral transport while also operating passenger and roro services. Over time the business developed services between South East Asia and Australia and expanded its coverage with acquisitions of operators throughout Oceania and the USA West Coast. Since being acquired by The CMA CGM Group, in 1998 ANL has punched above its weight in terms of profitability and growth, outstripping the global average by almost double.
ANL now operates 33 vessels on 18 shipping services throughout Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, North East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent, North America and Pacific Islands.
Outside of shipping and logistics, ANL seeks to continue supporting clients with digital solutions, smart containers, cargo care products (including insurance) and much more via The CMA CGM Group stable of value-added services.
With the launch of this brand identity, ANL looks forward to the next chapter in its exciting journey.
