USL Service Announcement 14-071: SB - LAX/LGB Terminal and IPI Update

Dear Valued Customer,
As previously advised, US Lines and our OVSA partners made the decision to change terminals to SSA – Pier A Long Beach. The decision was a direct result of the ongoing berth availability and extreme congestion at the TraPac terminal in Los Angeles. Regrettably congestion is having a significant impact on both operations through Los Angeles and the ongoing schedule for both our PSW and PNW services.
Schedules are being impacted by delays though Los Angeles, for your reference we detail below impact on current voyages. Full schedule updates are available on our website www.anl.com.au,
New ETD’s and ETA’s are as follows:
Operationally any southbound containers that were delivered to TraPac prior to the terminal change were loaded on the ER Wilhelmshaven 915. Containers delivered to Pier A for the Wilhelmshaven were loaded on the Cap Corrientes 403 and the ANL Barega 404. All Northbound exports from Australia and New Zealand for the Cap Corrientes onward are discharged at Pier A.
In addition to the ongoing issues we face at the terminal, there is a critical shortage of both chassis and truck power throughout the harbor. All shipping lines are facing the challenge and the result is an inability to meet vessel cut offs, and delivery deadlines for northbound cargo be it for the intermodal deliveries, or for both local and door deliveries.
