In view of the expiration of the European Carrier Conferences and in order to provide greater transparency for its customers, the ANL Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) is now available on line and will be effective as of August 2008, on specific European Service Routes.

The BAF is adjustable monthly, provided that the average price per ton for fuel fluctuates - up or down - by over $ 10 USD. The BAF calculation is based on:

• The price per ton of fuel observed over a given month (*),
• The average consumption of tons of fuel per container ship on a roundtrip on a specific trade, per full TEU carried

This data will be updated on a monthly basis on ANL's web site, in the Tariffs section and can be accessed from the following link.

With this initiative, ANL demonstrates its commitment to provide customers with clear pricing information and to quickly and efficiently respond to changes in the maritime environment.

(*): The CMA CGM Group including ANL, calculates the average price of fuel based on average fuel prices reported by PLATTS in the 17 main bunkering ports in which CMA CGM calls.
