Please be advised that China Customs authorities will be introducing new regulations in regards to compulsory advance manifesting effective from 4TH May 2009. The “24 Hour” rule for the Manifest transmission for export cargoes to China and any cargoes transhipping / transiting in China will now be required to be reported by the Carrier 24 hours before any vessel commences loading in each Australian port.
In light of this it will now be mandatory for shippers to provide correct details incorporating the following information. Please note that proforma details will not be allowed or accepted.
- Shipper name / address / phone / fax numbers
- Consignee name address / phone / fax numbers
- Full cargo description incorporating package type and number of packages
- Container / seal numbers
First nominated vessels will be
AANA Service: KAGA 046N
ACE Service: OOCL HOUSTAN 017N
As this information needs to be sent to China Customs 24 hours prior to the vessel arriving at the Port of loading, ANL will require all Forwarding Instructions, emailed to exportdocs@anl.com.au no later than 48 hours prior to the vessel arrival at the Australian load port. This will give us sufficient time to get the manifest to China Customs.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in that ANL will not be in a position to load any container(s) that have not been manifested properly within the time frame required. We would also like to emphasise that any late transmissions may incur fines which will have to be on-passed to the responsible party.
Thanking you for your co-operation and continued support.
For further details please contract.
