IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
ANL TASFAST TRADE CHANGE OF SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS

It has been announced today that ANL Container Line and the Toll Group has entered into a joint venture
arrangement in relation to the Bass Strait shipping service.

The new venture trading as Toll ANL Bass Strait Shipping will commence operation from Wed 12 August 2009
and will operate using the existing Toll Shipping service that operates between Burnie and Melbourne ( Webb
Dock). The last voyages of the ANL Bass Trader will ex Melbourne Fri 7 Aug ( ABT v 1032s ) and ex Bell Bay Sun 9
Aug ( ABT v 1032n ).

The joint venture will cater for all domestic cargo to/from all mainland ports to/from Tasmania with ANLs
extensive mainland shipping services connecting with the Toll ANL Bass Strait service. ANL’s international
cargo activity for Tasmania continues under ANL control.

ANL will continue to operate an office in Tasmania headed up by ANL’s Tasmanian Manager Samantha
Sutherland (0418 496867) and in Melbourne David Pratt (0448 320321) ANL’s Coastal Trades Commercial
Manager will be directly involved in the new joint service structure.

ANL has been trading in the Bass Strait business with the ANL Bass Trader for 7 years in the knowledge that our
service levels have impacted support from our clients who have sought a more frequent service and the ability to
accept ro/ro type cargo. The more recent global trading conditions have added its complications as well.
This new arrangement will provide a solution to these issues and enables ANL to be involved in a business that
more than covers these issues.

For clients with cargo in transit or have future bookings you will be contacted by David / Samantha to answer
any queries you may have as to future arrangements/contacts etc.
We thank all our loyal Tasfast customers who have supported us for so long and we look to continuing to serve
you with a far superior service. We would also like to acknowledge all of the staff who has been involved as well
as the officers and crew of the ANL Bass Trader and our stevedores ANS for a job well done.
